As cited by Greek rationalist Heraclitus â€â€Å"Everything changes and nil bases still.†Its option to express that with cut there is a modification in way of life, human advancement and condition which tends universes to change their heads and milieus. We adjust to our condition and milieus. Our first quick setting is the encompassing wherein we live †cover. The purpose of safe house is to help satisfy the physical and mental requests of grown-up male. This requires a safe house that would ensure and bring through all the requests. In his endeavors to protect himself against the limits of conditions and clime he has, over the ages, advanced numerous kinds of dwellings.†( Schoenauer, N and A ; Seeman, S 1962, p3 ) â€Å"The house is a foundation made for an intricate arrangement of aims. Its building is a social wonder and its signifier and association are enormously affected by the social environmental factors to which it belongs†¦ If the stipulation of safe house is the latent guide of the house, so its dynamic expectation is the inventive action of a situation most appropriate to the way of life of people.†( Bhalla, A 1998, p5 ) The above actually plainly expresses that the signifier and structure of the agonizing unit depends on the clime and human progress ( way of life of individuals ) . Both of these components are changing because of attack of logical order in this way changing the existence spaces we dwell in. This is a push to dissect these sprouting variances of agonizing unit from conventional typology of patio house to coordinate box type pads in Delhi, mostly focusing on the last mentioned. Delhi being the one of the antediluvian each piece great as most up to date city, gives us the possibility for examining non just the prior or most recent structure yet next to all the ensuing periods of advancement. In Delhi, dwelling transmutations have changed general customary type of house signifier to cutting edge way of mass housing to run into the expanding requests of housing stock and to bring through present day goals of individuals. Arranged requests raised during the conceptualizing that the review needs to answer: Change in life infinites was required or it’s just the western impact? How structures reaction to development, would they say they are interlinked? How the adjusting way of life has changed the typology of agonizing unit? What are the elements behind these transmutations? It is safe to say that we are going towards right change? To happen answers to above requests, I would wish to dissect an outline of agonizing unit of Shahjahanabad, Colonial Delhi, and plotted advancement each and research on the improvement of pads from DDA Housing to Co-usable Housing to most recent inclination of P.P.P. ( Public Private Partnership ) . Components act uponing the transmutations There is uprooting from antiquated house plans to current occasions. House in more seasoned occasions was a topographic purpose of cultural array where individuals had their feelings joined, with more individuals yet less furniture/contraptions while today house resembles an enormous machine with less individuals dealing with all the welcome †tech apparatuses. This is the excursion from the common airing to adapted air, from normal noticeable radiation to LED, from cultural delight to broadcasting, from green Fieldss to skyscraper buildings, etc. There are some impacting factors that lead to these adjustments and henceforth taking to change in fortified signifiers. These determiners are recorded in grouped manners by arranged scholars, rationalists, creators, understudies and so forth. For delineation ; Ar.Charles Correa, in his paper ‘Transfers and Transformations’ , alluded thatâ€Å"architecture is at the convergence of significant three powers. The first speaks to designing and financial sciences, the second, development and history, and the third, the desire of people†¦ Architecture is a specialist of chage.†All three powers are adjusting with the clasp and subsequently changing the compositional way. Purpose of perspectives on some more individuals are examined underneath: Grouped elements considered by Amos Rapoport in his book ‘House, Form and Culture’ to break down their impact on the assembled signifier are: Atmosphere: Climatic determinism has been broadly acknowledged in engineering. One interest non prevent the significance from securing clime in finding the capacity in the imaginative action of fortified signifier. We fabricate houses to keep up in a predictable clime, and to keep up out raiders. Materials, Construction, and Technology: These are non the signifier determiners yet are the changing components. They choose neither what is to be manufactured nor its signifier. They make conceivable the fenced in area of a boundless association settled on for different grounds, and perchance change that association. Economicss/Occupation: Economicss has been broadly used to explain settlement and building signifier and its significance is so incredible. For delineation, herder life among farming individuals neglects to acknowledge their financial framework, way of life and house signifier. Religion/Culture: Amos Rapoport alludes to the ‘The Temple and the House’ by Raglan who exhibited that the house is substantially more than just an asylum, there is something ‘the holiness of the house’ . A few human advancements isolated the house from their confidence while for some †the house was the solitary sanctuary. Amos Rapoprt induced that confidence influences the signifier, program, spacial understandings and the direction of the house yet that is non cosmopolitan or inescapable determiner. He connected the human advancement to confidence and expressed the outlines from everywhere throughout the universe where provinces and constructed signifiers are affected by the universe and waies as proposed by confidence. Fundamental requests: There are some fundamental requests as considered by Amos in his book ‘House, Form and Culture’ that decides the house signifier, for example, family unit, spot of grown-up females, privateness and cultural intercourse. Arranged variables considered by Dharmender Aggarwal in his proposition ‘Transformations of private nations in walled city of Delhi †Shahjahanabad’ to break down their effect on the transmutations of life infinites are: Job of Lifestyle: The attitude of grown-up male adjustments from clasp to cut. The way he sees the universe around him, the mode where he needs to set up with the outside, the way universe resembles to anticipated to him and the way in which he would wish to extend himself †all these establish significant bit in his way of life and every one of these shapes the unending wherein he lives. Individual qualities: The grown-up male has become more self observer. People groups need insignificant and formal dealingss with others. The idea of demeanor towards outside universe has changed. As the house to suit human presences alongside his qualities, henceforth such change in his qualities do adjust the house signifier. Additionally, people’s individual picks have changed, tasteful qualities have modifications which requires the transmutation in their home unit. Social qualities: The family units are hindering up. The build of joint family is not any more satisfactory to majority of individuals. The house which used to partner to bigger graduated table is currently identified with littler graduated table and along these lines less multifaceted nature. Presently, one needs insignificant intervention and the feeling of locale is progressively unequivocal. Such changes do discover the house signifier. House Hold Properties: The mechanical unrest has incredible effect on numerous frontages of society. The business and logical control have more to offer for extravagance, for diversion, for practical establishment and solace. These additional items have changed the way of life and house signifier needs to respond to these modifications. Atmosphere: Atmosphere has significant impact in the adjustment of house signifier. Temperature, moistness, air current, downpour, and radiation are significant constituents of clime that should be taken consideration for while finding the house signifier. Handiness of Land: Handiness of land influences the transmutation because of level of division and adjustment of land utilization structure. The region prompts higher thickness and quickening agent to transmutation. Deriving from above and according to my fear and treatment with my attendant, after are the determiners demonstration uponing the transmutations of life infinites: Lodging = Land + Development + House Friendly: Social is a wide term that brings under many sub factors under itself. It establishes social, individual and otherworldly determiners. With the quick moving lives, we are at a stage where we have about abandoned our old cultural qualities. Compare and Contrast Utilitarianism with Christian Ethics

Investigate Utilitarianism with Christian Ethics The moral lessons and estimations of utilitarianism and Christian morals are comparative in certain angles, yet anyway are assorted in others. Utilitarianism is a by and large teleological moral framework, where the result is said to legitimize the demonstration. The demonstration is considered ‘good’ on the off chance that it achieves the best useful for the best number. Christian Ethics, be that as it may, can be very unique. Numerous parts of its morals are deontological, for instance, the Decalogue and Natural Law. There are different contrasts and without a doubt a few likenesses which will be considered all through this exposition. Christian morals has numerous viewpoints which don't concur with the essential precept of Utilitarianism. Right off the bat, the 10 Commandments in the Old Testament are deontological, as it is law based and the activity is viewed as fortunate or unfortunate inherently. Jeremy Bentham, the author of Utilitarianism, expresses that an activity can't be correct or wrong in itself, and it must be assessed when the results are considered. The Bible suggests that none of these laws ought to be broken, yet Bentham believed that any principles can be dismissed should the individual confirm that the methods can legitimize the finishes. Bentham held that nobody should accept activities as right or off-base as guaranteed, yet should utilize exact proof to work out their impact and in this manner close on its suitability. Bentham’s experimental technique for seeing if the activity is beneficial was to utilize the Hedonic Calculus, a procedure of evaluation which measures the act’s result in a few classifications, for example, its conviction, immaculateness or degree. Normal Law is another case of the assorted variety among Utilitarian and Christian moral mentalities. In spite of the fact that it instructs that people should utilize motivation to acknowledge ethical quality (which is like Bentham’s demeanor), it in a general sense expresses that there are undeniable laws of the universe which forever and continually exist in nature. It is a Christian standard to live one’s life in such a manner they endeavor to resemble Jesus, and are roused to adhere to Christian standards and rules so as to do this. This anyway on a very basic level conflicts with Utilitarianism, which expresses that people are simply inspired by the quest for delight and the shirking of torment. This is the way an activity is viewed as positive or negative in the Hedonic Calculus, on the off chance that it brings delight for the a great many people or attempts to keep away from torment. Moreover, Christian morals suggests that one will discover joy by demonstrating themselves on Jesus and holding fast to the lessons of the Bible. In any case, in Utilitarianism it is expressed that one will locate the most bliss when people are allowed to seek after their own finishes. The way toward utilizing the Hedonic Calculus part of Utilitarianism can likewise be compared to the Christian moral rule of utilizing one’s Conscience. For this point, note this isn't regarding the particular detail in the Hedonic Calculus, however is about the basic purpose behind its utilization. In the New Testament, Paul supported that the Conscience ought to be utilized when one needs moral direction, which is connected to the desire of God. Despite the fact that in Utilitarianism the ‘God’ angle is excluded from terms of defending an activity, the guideline of intellectually making a decision about a deed is comparative. John Stuart Mill built up his own way to deal with Utilitarianism called ‘Rule Utilitarianism’. There are a few similitudes with Christian morals which lie in his tenet. Right off the bat, Mill says that there ought to be general guidelines which individuals ought to follow so as to achieve the best mutual great. This has two likenesses with Christian morals; most importantly is the rule of law-production and besides, the idea of the ‘greatest collective good’ can be followed back to the lessons of Paul in the New Testament, where he says that ‘a great ought not be god for the individual, however for everyone’. Mill’s proposed laws would be those dependent on general Utilitarian standards. Factory compared this rule to the Golden Rule of Jesus, which is the training that Christians consider to be of the most elevated significance. The standard states to ‘do unto others as you would have them do to you’. Despite the fact that this is basically deontological, it depends on the standard of creating the most agape. Factory, similar to Jesus, held that general laws ought to be set up to help have a decent existence. Circumstance morals has additionally been called attention to as having comparative standards o Utilitarianism. Initially, the two speculations are instances of relativism, implying that there are no supreme standard which apply to the rightness and unsoundness of activities. Also Joseph Fletcher, the organizer, contended that the Christian ethic of affection can be named as ‘justice distributed’. ‘Justice’ is concerning figuring out what the most cherishing thing is to accomplish for everybody. This can be compared to Utilitarianism, which replaces the word ‘justice’ with ‘goodness’, which means goodness circulated (most prominent useful for most noteworthy number).

Don’t share it unless you are familiar with the company and know why the information is necessary.Don’t pay any money for a “free” government grant.  If you have to pay money to claim a “free” government grant, it isn’t really free. The names of agencies and foundations that award grants are available for free at any pub lic library or on the Internet. The only official access point for all federal grant-making agencies is  www.grants.gov.Look-alikes aren’t the real thing.  Just because the caller says he’s from the “Federal Grants Administration” doesn’t mean that he is. There is no such government agency. Take a moment to check the blue pages in your telephone directory to bear out your hunch â€" or not.Phone numbers can deceive.  Some con artists use Internet technology to disguise their area code in caller ID systems. Although it may look like they’re calling from Washington, DC, they could be calling from anywhere in the world.Take control of the calls you receive.  If you want to reduce the number of telemarketing calls you receive, place your telephone number on the National Do Not Call Registry. To register online, visit  donotcall.gov. To register by phone, call 1-888-382-1222 (TTY: 1-866-290-4236) from the phone number you wish to register.File a complaint with the FTC.  If you think you may have been a victim of a government grant scam,  file a complaint with the FTC online, or call toll-free, 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357); TTY: 1-866-653-4261. The FTC enters Internet, telemarketing, identity theft, and other fraud-related complaints into Consumer Sentinel, a secure online database available to hundreds of civil and criminal law enforcement agencies in the U.S. and abroad.2. Foreign lottery winnerCongratulations! You just won the North Korean State Lottery!Next time a number or email address you dont know reaches out to tell you that youve just become a millionaire in some distant land, stop to think for a minute. First, do you actually remember buying a lottery ticket in Pyongyang? Have you actually even BEEN to Pyongyang? Does North Korea even HAVE a lottery? If they do, is it legal for a foreigner to enter that lottery? Unless youve been galavanting around the Hermit Kingdom buying scratch tickets, the answer to all of these questions is going to be a big, fat, NO.In fact, according to the FTC, its actually illegal for an American citizen to play a foreign lottery. Additionally, buying one so-called foreign lottery ticket from these scammers puts you at risk for getting more and more solicitations from similar scams. In reality, notices like these are from fraudsters looking to get access to your bank account or credit card information. Dont let make it easy for them to steal from you.3. Work at home job scamsWho wouldnt want to work from home every day? You can make calls in your pajamas, have lunch with your cat, and set your workday around your TV-watching schedule. LIVING. THE. DREAM.If you spend any time on the internet, youll see constant ads for jobs you can do at home. Area Mom Makes $200,000 From Home! they claim. Sadly, that Area Mom isnt making $200,000 from home. She cant, because she doesnt actually exist.Click on these ads and theyll send you to spammy-looking sites for jobs like mystery shoppingâ€"being paid to spy on mall employeesâ€"or reshipping, which involves receiving and re-mailing packages bought using stolen credit card numbers and/or packages containing counterfeit postal money orders. Neither of these things will make you rich, and the latter could get you arrested.Additionally, some of these work at home scams might send you to multi-level marketing companies, or pyramid schemes, that require you to spend money in order to become a distributor of their products. Because over 99 percent of people who start working for MLMs actually lose money, youre not likely to start raking in $400,00 every month.4. Binary options robotsBinary Options sites claim to exist to help you make investments, but dont be fooled. In fact, these sites are nothing more than good, old-fashioned gambling sites.According to  Forbes:A Google search for binary option Web sites produced 870,000 hits with promotions like earn up to 75 per cent every hour and 81 per cent profit in one hour or less, trade all maj or markets, You can buy these  options, which are also known as all-or-nothing options, digital options, or Fixed Return Options (FROs), on stocks, commodities, indexes, foreign exchange, and other derivatives. In fact, you can place a bet (which is what it really amounts to) on just about anything that is publicly traded, depending on which Web site you use (some offer a wider range of choices than others). Some sites provide free guides to binary option trading to get you started.Basically, Binary Options Robots or Binary Trading Options is sophisticated-sounding terminology for what is essentially just rolling the dice.  Imagine a guy asking you to pay him $200 bucks just to walk you into a casino. This has seen a lot of struggles emerge in the Clemson Basketball team to reap more profits as intended by the management. The home ground stadiums remain a competing tool that has seen more fans obtain tickets to cheerfully watch their team play. The newly opened Littlejohn Coliseum arena has large space carrying capacity that has provided adequate seats to comfortably support their team. This, however, has reduced the cost of operation within the team management with the much cash collected through purchasing of tickets. Managing to be a fan is much dependent on the money and time factors. This has been an opportunity for Clemson Basketball team as most the neighboring fans spend dollars for this type of recreational facility (Leung, Marion, (2000). They have possessed the qualities of a diehard fan accompanying the team in every competition. This, however, has acted as a conquering tool to other teams as winning the team has involved collectivist of team players and loyal fans. The team organizations have ensured the need for a better performance ground for fans by availing star players who are always on the forefront of scoring such Legend Robert who is also the current top scorer in the team. Many fans have enjoyed much watching this player perform in competitions as he always makes things happen the right way. However, its of great importance to understand the fan segments that have existed in Clemson Basketball team. It signifies an overview of how the team through its management makes strategies for their best results. In most cases, some fans have engaged in team executive meetings to establish the strengths and weaknesses of the team to see it move forward to higher levels. Their provision of ideas to Clemens has led to thorough renovations within the team that has promoted motivation to both the team players and even other fans. They have remained loyal to the team during both times of loss and win and therefore enabled favorable competition on the market. Players are also another fan segment that has made the accomplishment of the team mission easier. The Clemson team has over 25 fan players that have five the team full support during competitions. This has enabled the team to plan its future events in a more organized way that has made each program become successful. Through the team efforts the proposed project of a new arena Littlejohn Coliseum was completed and now it has remained a pillar of motivation towards success to the team. I will hence give some suggestions towards this arena to ensure an efficient working environment. The management involved in the service running of the arena should be on a watch out to ensure the security of the arena (Blackman, Bradley, Kriese, (2001). Hence a more organized team of experts will be necessary for the exercise. In terms of facilities, the arena should be equipped with enough gym facilities for better exercise. It will be better to fix an extra entrance to the arena to accommodate to ensure efficient movement of fans. The parking zones should consider the number of fans who might be willing to come over with their vehicles and therefore expansion will be necessary for this purpose. On addition to this, it will be better to consider the alarming number of fans and expand the space of accommodation to see other segments of fans come which include, the voyeurs, socialites and hence the appreciators. Lowering the ticket price will be convenient for this matter. Clemson Basketball team can also utilize the new arena as a source of income in a number of ways. Better accommodation facilities such as the addition of hotels within the arena will promote business and hence attract more fans who can comfortably afford to buy food during competitions. With this in place, the Clemson team will be in good position to conquer its competitors and hence win the matches without much struggle. Outside the arena, the team can also fix adequate recreational facilities such as swimming pools where children who accompany their children can swim without drowning. This can give additional income to the team and hence fund most of its pending projects. Brand equity is the value that a certain organization generates through the better decision made in developing a convenient name that further advertises the organization. The name developed is recognized and therefore earning some trust for the organization (Keller, (1993). Clemson team, in this case, can brand its name to be recognized by different categories of fans. The teams can provide some free tickets to the first one hundred diehard fans to encourage more to support the team. This will brand a good name for the team as fans will move around singing the name of the team. More will be encouraged through these promotions and hence become followers of the team. For this reason, the players who are rather fans in a way will put in more effort to bring success back at home. Every player will be out there to ensure other segments of fans are not embarrassed through hard work. Through the provision of the free team, T-shirts will attract a friend fan segment. Not only this type of fa ns will be motivated to come for the support of the team but also fans from other segments will be highly motivated to follow this route. To those loyal fans will also be motivated with the same promotional programs if implemented to sincerely support the team with their hearts out to ensure good performance of the team. Through these efforts to ensure equity in the team, the fans will be highly motivated with their team and hence speak the good name of their team outside there. The Clemson team should be like the Oregon. Clemson Basketball team is a group of talented basketball players who through collectivist are seen to do well in the competition. Though they may have their defining culture, their brand should follow that of Oregon (Taaffe, Robinson, Snow, Marcus, (1997). The Clemson team has been involved much in winning though not on frequent occasions hence through rebranding will enable the team acquires an identity. This will help the team engage in intensive competitions and hence building a good name. The team also requires new identity each time to show a form of transformation. Change is inevitable and hence if a team keeps on changing in terms of facilities and everything, it will pull up their performance. This will help improve the initial records put in place by Clemson Basketball team. According to Clemson Basketball team pricing services, the following pricing strategies will be important to be used. The Premium pricing is one of them; the Clemson should set the costs of its services much higher that such competitor as, the North Carolina team, the Florida State team among others (McDougall, Covin, Robinson, Herron, (1994). Through this pricing strategy, Clemson will gain a competitive advantage over other teams and hence improve performance. Penetration pricing strategy will also be a suitable tool to be adopted by the Clemson Basketball team. The team has different segments of fans who are usually supporters of the team. Products such as the tickets should be sold at a fairly lower price to make it affordable to fans and thus promote team-fan relationships. Economy pricing is another type that Clemson team should put into considerations. Clemson Basketball team is one of the big teams in NCCA competitions and there through this type of pricing the team is able to attract consumers hence minimizing the cost of such services as marketing (Kraemer, et al. (1996). This strategy aims at making sales at a relatively lower price and hence the customers who are fans, in this case, purchase the commodity without any form of interference. There are several marketing efforts that can help the Clemson team serve the team fraternity in a more efficient way. The Clemson team should practice networking within and outside the team. This could be done either online or rather offline in some instances. The effort will ensure good fan relationship with the team. The effort will ensure the fans are in touch with the team every time they want. It could be achieved through the team creating an online portal for the whole team. The team management should also make efforts of listening to the team fans. It will ensure the establishment of weaknesses in the team and look for the suitable solution. The Clemson team should also build a brand identity that will enable it to conquer the competitors favorably. The culture of winning will always attract many fans in the game and hence give much support to the team. The most relevant controversial issues include practices such as the Clemson team being an advertisement media for other organizations. The team should only serve the need of the team and its fraternity and not enter into illegal business. Hence a set of rules and regulations should be formulated for the team operations. Some funds contributed towards benefiting the players are being grabbed by the University management. A transparent management should, in this case, be implemented to ensure efficient running of the team. It should be open and ready to listen to critiques for a better working environment. Improper benefits by star players within the Clemson team. The Clemson Basketball team should put forward the strategies to bridge this gap whereby the team should ensure equality within the team. All players should be subjected to equal fair treatment to enhance proper competition to outside competitors.

Developmental Psychology The Stages Of Development

Julissa Valtierra Mrs. Yolanda Developmental Psychology May 18, 2015 Erickson Essay Erick Erickson, a German psychoanalyst created a theory called the Stages of Development, which consist of eight phases. As a person passes though each stage they will attempt to resolve crises that are important to the process of life. These eight stages include building a sense of trust in others, discovering a sense of self, as well as preparing the forthcoming generation for the future. Since everyone is unique in their own way, we will all experience Erickson’s 8-Stage Life Span Theory slightly different from each other. Erickson’s first stage begins at birth and last about 12 months. It’s called Basic Trust vs. Mistrust. This phase relies wholly on the mother and father’s parenting skills. Since this is an unfamiliar world to the infant, it’s part of the parent’s job to provide stability and constant care to build a sense of trust with the child. Like most of us, I cannot remember my early childhood years, but I know my mother and father were very attentive to me as an infant. Since I am the first-born, I was something new and special to my parents. During this stage we will develop trust, confidence, and security from our parents. If I or any child does not receive this, than they could grow up to feel insecure and insignificant. Next is the Autonomy vs. Shame and Doubt, which occurs between 12 months to 3 years old. This chapter is when the child is exploring what skills andShow MoreRelatedHow Do Humans Develop Over A Lifetime? Essay1173 Words   |  5 Pagestime is developmental psychology. Strategies of Academic Writing

Question: Write about theStrategies of Academic Writing. Answer: A flawless academic writing is very important in todays world for students of both schools and colleges. Parents and guardians always encourage the children to read newspapers and storybooks both to have knowledge regarding the world and to develop well rhetorical skills and good stock of words. These are the thing, which helps a student to increase their understanding and thinking ability (Bertsch Pesta, 2014). After this come the three important aspects of writing skill. The first is taking notes, the second is paraphrasing and the third is summarizing. The learning, thinking and writing potentialities increases by these three strategies. In this essay there is a thorough discussion about the main aims of note-taking, paraphrasing and summarizing. Then one can accelerate these aspects of writing skills and the methods involved in it. In academic writing, it is very important that the students and the research scholars must adopt and follow certain strategies and rules so that the students can become more equipped in their field. Paraphrasing, taking notes and summarizing are the important strategies. First, there will be a discussion about the note taking technique. From the very childhood, one has heard about listening to the teachers in the classroom and writing in the notebooks. There are textbooks, which helps us to learn about specific matters but unless and until the teachers explain it to the students properly, the students are not capable of deciphering something from it. Nevertheless, the problem remains because the students cannot retain those things and they forget or topsy-turvy the things which he or she has learnt. For this reason, much emphasis is given on taking notes. Thus, the main functions of the note taking is to record facts and information and to have reflection of certain things, then it h elps the students to learn things from the notes (Blankenship, 2016). The other two purposes of taking note are to resolve problems for having a clear concept of complex documents, writing reports and solving mathematical problems. There are some procedures of taking notes. It is known to everyone that the average writing speed of a student is around 0.3 to 0.4 words/ second, whereas a lecturer speaks at a rate of around 2 to 3 words/second. The teachers will not explain one thing or dictate same thing more than once. Therefore, in that case the student has to develop their linguistic skill like acquiring the skills of abbreviation, writing the letters in short hand. There are some attributes which solves the problem of information transmission rather triggers the students to take more notes which helps them in their studies (Cromley Wills, 2016). They are: Writing on the board by the teachers helps the students to take notes accurately. Thus for the reason the teachers are suggest ed to write accurately and precisely on the boards. The teachers are also recommended to dictate slowly and with prominent vocal voice so that the student can understand and write the necessary things. An educator can also write things on the board by the form of listing things (Ruby Ruby, 2014). Another unique feature which the teachers or educators can use is macro-textual planning indicator which organize and structure the segments and division for example expressions such as firstly/secondly or first question/second question can be used to dictate or write on the board (Podhajski, 2016). All these factors enhance the students to take notes. Paraphrasing is another important strategy of the academic learning. The main purposes of the paraphrasing are to understand and critically analyze the facts from a particulars source. The second one is to avoid plagiarism and to write unique things about a particular matter. Plagiarism means writing or copying something from other sources. Paraphrasing helps to write things in a unique form. Another important feature is to provide proper evidence and documents in the writing. In paraphrasing, the writing is similar to the original writing. There are specific examples given in the paraphrasing part of writing. There must be proper evidence to substantiate the arguments. The use of in-text referencing and footnotes must be included in the paraphrasing. There are specific elements in properly paraphrasing the original work. The first thing is using the Academic Note Template, which helps to track the source and focus on the specific issues of the original text. The second important ste p is learning and reading the original text. There must be emphasis on important facts of the original work. However, one has to write from the original work but also in a unique form. Thus, in order to do the work uniquely one has to change the order of the ideas, one has to twist and change the structure and grammar of the original work (Griffiths et al. 2016). If plagiarism is found in any dissertation, thesis and other assignments then that thesis or dissertation might be totally rejected and in some cases a degree of the student is cancelled. Finally, the phrases of the original work must be change instead of changing the original work. Thus, facts derived from the internet must be properly referenced so from an authentic source. The prime thing is check all the information derived from the internet so that the sources must be of the renowned scholars. The in texting and citation must be accurate as that of the bibliography. Hence, it can be said that paraphrasing supports atta ining of the ethical responsibility of a writer and it increases the creative writing skill of a student (Hagaman, Casey, Reid, 2016). Summarizing is also one of the important aspects of writing skill. This is because if one writes a good summary then it denotes that one has clearly understood text or a document (Wong, 2014). Thus, a good summary helps the learners and readers to understand about the original text. Sometimes there is difficulty in writing summary, so for this reason there are eight steps, which are required to follow: - First, one has to search out the key points of the text. Then that key points have to be divided into parts by giving heading and sub-heading. One can also highlight some specific important terms. After this, one has to focus on the authors tone, main style of writing and the main things which the author wants to say to the readers. Then, to write summary the student or reader should definitely underline the exact main points and try to understand thoroughly if he or she cannot do it then one should clarify these important points (Higgins et al., 2015). After this in the main heading s and sub-headings one must write about the only prime points one must not include any trivial matter in these sections. Now, from these prime points one should construct a thesis statement, which reflects the main purpose of the summary. This thesis statement can be considered as the introduction part of the body and other headings should be the main body of the summary. A summary must contain a topic sentence, which provides facts about the creators of the piece, which one is summarizing, and contain about the title of this information. There are some important features, which makes the summary very precise and distinct. They are: - The summary should be written in present tense. The author and title of the original work must be there. The summary should be short in length; it should not be same just as like the main text. If the writer has to write the words of the author then he or she must cite the words, if not this then the writer must use his or her original words (Harris, 2016). There is no personal thinking, viewpoint in the summary. This is because the main aim of writing the summary is that it must contain the main ideas of the author written in the text, it is not a critical writing in which he or she gives her opinion (McDonough, Crawford De Vleeschauwer, 2014). A writer must avoid grammatical and punctuation mistake while writing the summary. Thus, to avoid these types of mistakes, one must check its work at least two or three times. If one follows these attributes while writing summary then definitely the main aim of the summary is fulfilled. In conclusion, one can say that the three weapons of writing skills that is paraphrasing, taking notes and summarizing are equally required to improve the writing skill of a student or any other person who is related to the academic field. A student has to be very attentive if he or she wants to perform well in writing skills. This is because in order to take class notes in school or college inevitably the students have to acquire concentration power because even if the teachers cooperate with the students. In many cases, it can be found that the teachers cannot give so much of time due to time or other things, and then the teacher has to be very fast. After this one can analysis about the paraphrasing. The main characteristic of the paraphrasing is to write according to the length of the original piece but one has to write in a unique and new form. Again summarizing the writing should be not equal to the original text, it should be precise but it must contain all the important ideas of the author. Finally, in both the cases the writer has to develop a strong linguistic sense, which uplifts the level of writing. Reference Bertsch, S., Pesta, B. J. (2014). 5 Super Simple Tips for Dealing With a Difficult Boss

5 Super Simple Tips for Dealing With a Difficult Boss There are bad bosses and then there are tough bosses. If your boss is in the second category, they might not be doing anything outwardly wrong or inappropriate- they might even be a good boss, in the end- but they sure do keep you on your toes. Whether it’s micromanaging or outrageously high standards or inaccessibility†¦ a difficult boss is a tough thing to manage. Here are 5 strategies for how to make the best of a challenging situation, things you can do to change the situation from your end, and how it can benefit your career.1. Don’t be too sensitive. The first rule of tough bosses is not to take anything personally. Your boss might have a temper, or a super exacting work ethic, or almost unreasonable standards. Your boss might throw tantrums or demand the impossible. Your boss might be short with you. None of these things should be interpreted as personal affronts.Your boss is human, and dealing with a bunch of things that have nothing to do with you; thatâ₠¬â„¢s in the background of every interaction. But also, a real professional takes the message in the madness (This project not perfect yet? Okay!) and leaves any perceived judgment behind. Let the tone or manner of the delivery be whatever it is; take the information you need and simply do your job. Plus, it doesn’t necessarily matter if your boss likes you.2.  Come up with the solutions yourself. If you have a tough boss, try to get your questions answered elsewhere- same with your problems and small talk. It’s not possible to never need something from your boss, but you could probably drastically cut down on how many interactions you have with her where you’re not making her life easier. Focus on delivering results when you walk into her office. The more you go in there with solutions to her problems, rather than questions about your own†¦ the better.3. Be proactive. If you have access to your boss’s schedule, make a note of what big projects and p riorities she’s working on and stay mindful of them. Help where you can. Be proactive. Keep thinking forward, and help your boss do the same. And instead of waiting to be asked to check in (or for an informal performance review), take the initiative to schedule regular check-ins with your boss and come prepared. Detail what you’ve been working on and the progress you’ve been making. Basically, anticipate your boss’s needs and questions and have answers always at the ready.4. Radiate confidence.Even when you make mistakes. Especially when you make mistakes! Rather than trying to hide or fib your way out of it, take responsibility. Own it. Say â€Å"I screwed up and here is how I’m already working to fix it.† Remind yourself that their anger will fade, that you’re still the smart and capable employee they hired, and give them a bunch of good reasons to forget you ever erred.5. Figure out what’s in it for you.A tough boss can actu ally be a great opportunity. You’ll work that much harder, be that much more on your game. And you’ll probably get lots more done. You’ll also figure out what you are (and aren’t) looking for in your next boss, so you can make a more informed career decision when next you’re on the market. Try to focus on the positive aspects of this challenging situation, and you’ll be able to use this one tough boss to better your whole career.

Design Management Research Report Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words

Design Management Research Report - Essay Example Mostly we focused on qualitative and quantitative research on our client company, and conducted competitor analysis to get a better understanding of the client company and the industry. Furthermore, we adopted Psychographic research about the company’s value, color theory, and competitor analysis to get insight into the problems of current company’s logo and strategies. In addition, we carried out case studies to find out how other companies successfully approached similar projects and how they obtained the best results. Project overview- According to the 2010 annual report of Invest Toronto, the logo is â€Å"The fresh, modern and energetic branding that will serve and invest as well as the story teller for our vibrant city.† However, we found that the logo has heavily focused on visualizing the city of the company rather than express the company’s values or objectives. A logo for a brand represents and distinguishes itself from others as an image, and th e right corporate identification makes it easier for the company to achieve its business objectives. The right consumer experience with a corporate identity helps them to choose the company when it comes down to a decision. Therefore, setting up a clear and positive corporate identity especially for a company in its earliest stages of development, such as Invest Toronto is very important. To achieve this, the company requires a corporate identity that reflects its value, ethics, future and principles, and one that gives a strong positive visual experience of the company. Since among the company’s objectives and roles is attracting foreign companies to Invest Toronto, the logo should be understood by people from different cultures and give a positive image to them as well. We also conducted research on the client company, and found that there was lack of consistency in terms of brand identity. The use of different background logo colors in different social media might confuse viewers and alleviate planting of a clear visual representation of company to its audiences. Thus, when creating a corporate identity, there should be a strong, clear branding system and marketing strategies that expose the company to the public more. Description of the client company Invest Toronto is the primary business, sales and marketing corporation for the City of Toronto and was organized by Toronto City Council in September 2008, Invest Toronto's initial Directors Board was confirmed by Toronto City Council on February 24, 2009. There are fifteen board of directors since the company is at the starting stages it has about thirty employees are under Renato Discenza the CEO and President of Invest Toronto. The city is the sole shareholder of Invest Toronto and the former has set up the business objectives for the company, which corresponded to its interests. Precedents/ case studies 1British Columbia Lottery Corporation: The rebranding of the British Columbia Lottery Corporati on in 2011 was one of the most recent successful rebranding measures similar to the rebranding of Invest Toronto, since British Colombia Lottery Corporation is closely connected to Provincial Government of British Colombia since its establishment. Considering the requirement of understanding gambling industry, the advertising agency, Cossette, had to look into the Government, media, and public review to fulfill the

Is the Philippines Truly Free

Is the Philippines Truly Free Essay In terms of fashion, culture and economy, however, we cannot say the same. The Filipinos still suffer from colonial mentality. Thousands of Pinoys are also dying to migrate to other countries. As a member of the Filipino youth of today I believe that I can somehow make the Philippines truly free by reversing the above negative attitudes. First, I will start from myself. I will think, talk and act like a true Filipino. I will live by the Filipino values like being polite and courteous, using â€Å"po†, â€Å"opo†, respect my parents, the elders and be fair to all. I will patronize Filipino made products so we can save the dollars of our country. I will visit and encourage visit to the local tourist spots. I shall lead by example by taking care of the environment. I will recycle plastics and use biodegradable trash as organic fertilizer. By doing so, we can boost our country’s economy and awaken the sense of nationalism in each and every Filipino. Not only will our country be appreciated by our fellow Filipinos, but also by foreigners locally and internationally. Lastly, I will keep myself informed of the current social and national issues so I can express my views thereon. I will encourage the youth to do the same so we can preserve the democracy in our country alive and help it move forward.

The Authors Character in A Good Man is Hard to Find by Flannery OConn

â€Å"A Good Man is Hard to Find† is a short story written by Flannery O’ Connor. O’Connor was an American writer whose writings always incorporated humor into a sad or devastating situation. Her collections include 31 short stories, two novels, and a couple of letters and speeches. O’Connor is most famous for her short story works. In numerous works of her, her conscious craftsmanship was revealed and also the devoted role that Roman Catholicism plays in her life (Flannery) O’ Connor was born the only child to her parents in Savannah, Georgia. Her father was a real estate agent and her mother was born into a very prominent family. When O’ Connor was twelve years old, her family moved back to her mothers hometown of Milledgeville, GA where her father was also the mayor of for a couple of years. Milledgeville was known as the ‘crazy’ town in Georgia. Milledgeville was home to one of the largest mental institutions in the United States. At the time this story was written, the hospital had 13,000 mentally ill patients hospitalized there. She was surrounded by crazy people. The influence of living in Milledgeville helped her in writing her stories. â€Å"A Good Man is Hard to Find† is one of O’Connor’s best and well known works. The work tells the story of a normal every day family and their trip to Florida. The trip begins as normal trips do, but then turns and there is an unexpected twist thrown in. Unit Labor Costs Matter Much More Than Actual Levels of Pay

Nga Discuss the view that unit labour costs matter much more than actual levels of pay. Unit  labour  costs is the  cost  of  labour  per  unit  of. It is determined by the growth of wages and the rate of growth of  labour  productivity. Labour costs include the complete range of costs employers incur when they employ workers. They include not only wages but also the cost of recruiting and training workers, national insurance contributions, redundancy payments and benefits in kind. Wages do, however, constitute over 80% of total labour cost.So they, together with productivity, are the two key influences on unit labour costs. If productivity increases at a faster rate than the wages paid, unit labour costs are likely to fall. During the recession, the UK has seen falls in real wage growth. If real wages are lower, firms may   be more willing to employ labour rather than capital. In other words low wage growth means labour is relatively more attractive than usual. Therefore with lower labour costs, firms are willing to employ more workers and labour intensive production methods. If a country’s firms have higher unit labour costs than firms in rival countries, this may make their products less price competitive. The country will be unlikely to benefit from increased exports, as a result of a depreciating exchange rate. The increasing unit labour costs have caused firms to demand workers from abroad, who are willing to work for lower wages, to decrease the cost of production. But this has caused unemployment in the UK, and therefore a reduction in income. The result is AD shift to the left, which decreases the rate of economic growth.Rising unit labour costs have the potential to cause cost push inflation. This is caused by wage increases which exceed any improvement in productivity. There are those who feel that unit labour costs matter much more than actual levels of pay and this is because  ULC contains within it all total labour co sts divided by output. This includes wages, national insurance and redundancy payments. Wages are only a component of ULC  , which leads people to feel that it does not matter as much; it is only the amount paid to a worker for working a certain number of hours.Unit labour costs can be said to matter more because it  helps determine productivity. If total labour costs are at ? 5000 and output is 5000 units, then ULC would measure at ? 1. If however output increased to 10,000 units, then ULC would measure at 50p. This means that it now costs less per worker and also shows that workers are now more productive. On the other hand, if companies were becoming less productive, then  ULC can help governments decide whether to apply supply-side policies or not.An example of this would be education and training, if a worker gains more knowledge in the field of work, then they should be able to produce more units than they did before. What can be also be noted from the graph is that  t here is a reduction of inflation from A to B when increasing productivity. Therefore ULC are very important and matter more than wages because it helps determine productivity, inflation and helps with decisions on supply-side policies. ULC does have some flaws however in thatsupply-side policies are not entirely determined by ULC, it can also be used to lower inflation as shown in the above graph. While it is agreed that ULC is important, some would argue that wages are more so. Wages make up 80 per cent of ULC  and may suggest that wages determine ULC. If wages increased, then total labour costs would also increase. If total labour costs were at ? 20,000 and output was at 10,000, then ULC would measure at ? 2. If however total labour costs increased to ? 50,000 due to because of wages, and the level of output stayed the same, then ULC would measure at ? 5. This suggests a decrease in productivity as well as a relatively low level of international competitiveness. In countries where minimum wage doesn’t exist, wages may be considerably lower and the result from ULC would suggest high productivity but would not consider infringement of rights. To summarise, wages are more important than ULC because not only is it a significant proportion of ULC itself and can change the result independently , but it alsoallows people to see their independent income; wages are more important to consumers  whereas ULC is more important to firms. In most developed countries however, there exists a minimum wage so wage abuse is not common. Also, the figures used previously assume that output remains at a fixed level, in the case that it doesn’t shows more factors involved and thus weakens the actual levels of pay’s effect. Actual levels of pay are important, but more so to the individual than to the collective. ULC allows a broader scope of how the country is performing economically compared to others and is therefore more important.
